Charles Carlton spent his career inside operations — not consulting from the outside. As a VP of Operations, he lived the reality that most lean transformations promise to fix: the complexity, the jargon, the dependency on outside experts, and the frustrating cycle of improvement initiatives that stall the moment the consultant leaves.
That experience is what built Simplified Lean Solutions. Not a theory. Not a framework borrowed from a textbook. A direct response to a broken industry model — built by someone who watched it fail from the inside.

Charles's foundation was built in the United States Air Force, where he learned that discipline, standardization, and mission clarity are not management concepts — they are survival requirements. That military foundation shaped everything that followed: a career-long commitment to systems that work under pressure, teams that own their processes, and results that hold.
After his service, Charles brought that same rigor into operations leadership. His career spans manufacturing, process improvement, and organizational transformation across industries — giving him a ground-level understanding of what actually works on the floor versus what looks good in a presentation.
He has led lean initiatives from the executive level and implemented them at the frontline. He has managed the politics of organizational change, navigated resistant cultures, and built the kind of internal capability that outlasts any consulting engagement. That range — from strategy to execution — is what makes his approach different.
When Charles founded Simplified Lean Solutions, he made one commitment: every engagement would end with the client owning the system completely. No dependency. No return visits required. Just a team that knows how to run lean — and does.
